In Polignano a Mare's picturesque harbor, visitors can easily rent a boat with which to sail along the coast, discovering any number of paradisiacal beaches and fascinating sea caves. Bari, Puglia's vibrant capital city, and the historic towns of Putignano, Monopoli and Fasano are all just a short car drive away. The beautiful towns of Alberobello and Ostuni may be slightly further afield, but are more than worthy of a visit.
