Masseria San Domenico Savelletri di Fasano

The Hotel Masseria San Domenico is a 5 star luxury resort set in a 60 hectare country estate just 500 meters from the sea edge on the coast between Bari and Brindisi, and 2kms from the picturesque southern Italian fishing village of Savelletri.

Part of the Hotel was once a medieval watch tower, one of the oldest to be found in this area and dating back to the XV century. Many years later the fortified structure was expanded for use as farm buildings. The Masseria, provided storage and processing units for the produce cultivated on the land, in addition to accommodation for the farm workers. It would also have been used as the occasional residence of the landowner. Little more than a decade ago, the huge potential of the property was recognised and an ambitious restoration project saw the transformation of the Masseria in a luxury resort.

The hotel has a total of 50 beautifully appointed bedrooms and suites, all featuring the work of local craftsmen and the finest Italian textiles.
The elegant restaurant with dining room dating back to the 17th century, serves excellent Mediterranean cuisine prepared with locally sourced ingredients. The olive oil and much of the fruit used in the hotel kitchens is, in fact, produced within the estate grounds.
