Valle Rita Ginosa

The Valle Rita Estate is situated within the grounds of an organic farm, located in the countryside just outside Ginosa, a town in the Northern part of the Apulian territory of the Salento .

Part of what was once the Girifalco fiefdom, the old farmstead dates back to the 18th century and for many years functioned not only as important agricultural enterprise but also as watch tower guarding over the Vallone di Rita and across the flatlands of Metaponto as far as the coast.

Today, Valle Rita offers guests accommodation in a total of nine, tastefully furnished apartments, with various sleeping capacities, from 2 to 5 people.

Excellent home cooking can be savoured in the restaurant situated in the old farmhouse. The seasonal menus feature many of the specialities of the Apulia region, prepared with ingredients cultivated on the farm. Organically grown fruit and vegetables, olive oil, and DOC wines can all be purchased at the farmhouse.

For business meetings and corporate events, there is the "Stallone della Regina"; an 18th century refuge transformed in Conference Hall''', complete with reception area and audiovisual equipment.

On site leisure facilities include a swimming-pool, tennis court, and children's playground whilst, in the immediate vicinity, there are riding stables and an 18 hole golf course. Matera, Taranto, and Lecce: cities of undisputed artistic value, are all situated within easy driving distance of the estate.

Valle Rita is situated in the countryside immediately outside Ginosa, a town close to the coast and the city of Taranto. The seaside towns of Metaponto, Policoro, and Nova Siri are all within easy reach of Valle Rita, as are the city of Matera, famous for its "sassi", the Natural Archaeological Park, the Churches of Materano and, just a little further away, the Park of Pollino.

The nearest airports are those of Bari (100km) and Brindisi (110km). For those travelling by train, the closest railway station is that of Marina Ginosa, on the Sibari-Taranto line.
