Puglia Hotels Italy - A selection of boutique and luxury hotels

The narrow coastline of Apulia, the longest in Italy, rises to the mountainous forest covered Gargano Peninsula.

It forms one long, spectacular beach on the Adriatic. Off shore are the unique Tremiti Islands and underwater caves. Inland are vineyards and olive groves and towns of historic interest. The heritage of the Ancient Greeks is most evident here in Apulia. In the cathedral of Puglia itself one can see a 1000 year old mosaic, covering the whole building, which charts what was then known of human history. One of the main attractions of Apulia has to be the fairytale sight of the trulli, at Alberobello - these beehive shaped houses were built without mortar - there are over 1000 of them.
