Right on the tip of the Gargano, Vieste is known world wide for its natural beauty and its tourist appeal. In the rocky part the Medieval historic center dominates, at its heart the Castle.
The urban center is situated between the Castle and the San Felice point towards the Tower of the Lanterna of Vieste. The Faraglione "Pizzomunno", the underwater caves, the Castellana Caves, the Umbra forest and the Grotta of St Michele on Mount St Angelo are all worth visiting.
